I've got Xounds loaded successfully on my system. Now how do I go about getting the soundsets I've download to be recognized by Xounds?

The following information applies to Xounds 2.4:

Importing from Classic:

Once you download a Classic (Appearance) sound set to your hard drive, choose the "Import From Classic" button from the Settings pane of the Xounds preference pane in System Preferences. It will launch Xounds Importer, an application that will convert the old soundsets. Next simply click choose, browse to, and open the soundset. Next, choose the "Convert" button and it will make the changes needed to work with Xounds. Close the Xounds Importer window and go back to the Settings pane in Xounds. The sound set will then be available from the drop down menu at the top and from the Available Sounds section at the bottom left.

Importing a .xoundset

After downloading a .xoundset file, simply move it to the following location:

~/Library/Xounds/ (you may need to create the "Xounds" folder)

After doing so, it will show up in the Xounds preference pane and you can customize it if you like.
